Darren Criss really enjoyed his gruesome scene in the latest episode of FX's American Horror Story: Hotel!

'American Horror Story' Star Evan Peters Talks Major Differences Between Lady Gaga & Jessica Lange

Criss guest starred in episode 5 of Hotel, playing one half of a hipster couple that checks into the hotel and proceeds to be impossibly difficult to Iris (Kathy Bates). Those who watched the episode saw Iris take her bloody revenge on the couple by the end.

So how did Criss feel about being the victim of Bates' character? He loved it.

Why Hasn't FX Renewed 'American Horror Story' For Next Season Yet?

"It was a blast. I think when you watch stuff like that, you go, 'This must be terrifying to shoot,' but it's the complete opposite when you're in that room," Criss told E! News recently.

Criss wasn't too affected by the graphic horror of the scene.

"It's kind of fun," the actor admitted. "You get to do things that you would never do in real life -- hopefully! I'm really hoping and praying nobody is going out stabbing anybody. That's awful, that's horrible. Don't do that! But when it's somebody like Kathy Bates -- I don't have to explain why she's so amazing -- doing this kind of stuff with you, it's a blast."

By the sound of it, Criss might be open to starring in a future season of American Horror Story. He is freed up now that Fox's Glee is over, a show that was also run by AHS boss Ryan Murphy. Would Murphy consider working with Criss again? Only time will tell.

American Horror Story: Hotel airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
