The controversy surrounding their decision to let Nicole (Reign Edwards) be their surrogate was huge, but now, Maya (Karla Mosley) and Rick (Jacob Young) will find out if the criticism they faced was worth it on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Despite the objections from their parents, Julius (Obba Babatunde) and Vivienne (Anna Marie Horsford), Nicole and Maya went to the doctor and went through with the procedure anyway. Now, the time has come to learn is Nicole is indeed pregnant and carrying a child that while biologically is half hers, is one she will be giving to her transgender sister and her husband in nine months time.

As they wait for the results from the doctor however, Maya's nerves will get the best of her as she worries that the pregnancy didn't take, causing Nicole to try and calm her sister down with assurances that today could be the day that starts the big change for the rest of their lives.

Liam Learns The Truth

"Let's hope that today is the start of your baby," Nicole says to Maya in a preview clip for the Thursday, Nov. 12 episode.

However, even though he didn't wind up actually stopping his younger daughter from going through with the procedure he believed would ruin her life, Julius will make sure his opposition to the situation is still heard as he continues saying he believes this will all be a big mistake.

"I'm praying that she doesn't get pregnant," he says in the clip.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
