The upcoming season finale of Sister Wives is set to handle the scandal involving Meri being catfished, and is set to absolutely be full of drama.

The scandal has rocked the family since it was revealed, with many expressing shock that Meri appeared ready to leave her polygamous family behind following her divorce from Kody. In addition, rumors circulated that her fellow sister wife, Robyn, knew she was being catfished the entire time, and did nothing to stop it.

She was Catfished

Meri confirmed that her emotional affair occurred during a time where she was emotionally vulnerable, and that she believed she was speaking to someone who proved they weren't who they claimed to be.

"During an emotional and vulnerable time earlier this year, I began speaking with someone online who turned out to be not who they said they were," she said in a statement. "I never met this person and I regret being drawn into this situation, but I hope because of it I can help others who find themselves in similar circumstances."

Her affair was allegedly with a man named Sam Cooper, but that person has since been identified as a woman named Jackie Overton

Not only was Meri catfished, but she was allegedly targeted by a woman who is known for catfishing.

Meri was preparing to leave Kody for Sam

Before learning she was being catfished, Meri seemed to be prepared to leave her husband of 25 years to be with Sam, who she did form an attachment to.

Sam still insists he is really a man who had an affair with Meri and that Jackie Overton is an innocent party in all of this

Despite the claims that Meri was catfished, Sam still insists on his Not Batman Yet blog that he is a real man, and not a woman who catfished her.
