Survivor host Jeff Probst expresses his thoughts on Stephen Fishbach and his fixation on getting strong men out of the game.

Kelley Wentworth Made 'Survivor' History Last Night

Through eight episodes of Survivor: Cambodia, we've seen Stephen struggle with fitting in with his tribe and frequently talk about getting alpha males out of the game. Joe Anglim in particular has haunted Stephen since the beginning, comparing him to J.T. Thomas, the likable farmer who beat Stephen in a landslide vote back in Survivor: Tocantins.

Probst recently spoke with People about the players remaining in the game, and said Stephen in particular is repeating history.

"Stephen Fishbach is trapped inside a terrible nightmare," Probst said. "Are feelings of inadequacy getting in the way of his otherwise very sharp game play? The stronger, physical guys have always haunted him, and he wants to take down the biggest one so he can erase the demon. My wish for Fishbach would be to give up the ghost and just focus on surviving tribals and not trying to eliminate the big bad wolf."

Probst added that Stephen has surprised him as far as "how determined he is to get Joe out of the game. From my limited information, I don't understand the rationale and wonder if there is more behind it than just not wanting to lose to another likable jock, like he did in the finals of his season against J.T."

Right now Stephen is in a pretty solid position with his alliance of Jeremy Collins, Kimmi Kappenberg, Tasha Fox and all the other scattered players in the big alliance of eight. But we saw Joe strategizing to get Stephen out in the latest episode after word got back to Joe about Stephen targeting him. It looked like most players in his alliance were on board to oust Stephen until conversation turned back to targeting the three women on the bottom, Abi-Maria Gomes, Ciera Eastin and Kelley Wentworth.

But now that Stephen is on Joe's radar, is he on borrowed time?
