'Dancing With the Stars': Mark Ballas Suffers Injury Ahead Of Jazz Trio With Bindi Irwin, Derek Hough
The injuries and illnesses just keep coming on this season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars.
Tamar Braxton Withdraws From 'Dancing With the Stars' For Medical Reasons
Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough are slated to perform a jazz trio on Monday night's episode of Dancing With the Stars, and they have selected Mark Ballas to be their third person. The problem is, Ballas hurt his foot and might not be able to do it anymore!
"We're doing it with Mark, but I don't know if that's gonna happen anymore because he hurt his foot. He got glass or something in it," Hough wrote in his TVGuide.com blog this week. "Between him and me, it hasn't been a good two seasons for feet! So we'll see if he can still do it with us."
Assuming they are able to perform the dance, Hough has something crafted that he thinks will look really cool.
"That routine in my mind looks really good. The story is about how we isolate ourselves and we get imprisoned by our own issues and how we're all connected and we're bonded together. So we're gonna use a rope and at the end of the rope is a light bulb. We're gonna use this rope to move us around. Now I have to see if it's possible to do it, so we'll see!" he wrote.
However, as of Thursday, Ballas is ready to perform with Irwin and Hough. Ballas posted on his Instagram account yesterday teasing their upcoming performance:
This season of Dancing With the Stars has been fraught with physical problems among competitors. Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Tamar Braxton both had to withdraw from the competition for health-related reasons, while Hough is overcoming strep throat and Irwin has brutal blisters on her feet.
Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
