Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) is coming to Central City, and his arrival will put Operation Zoom on hold as The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow cross over in a special two-episode event.
Starting on The Flash, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Co. will have to protect Cisco's (Carlos Valdes) new girlfriend Kendra (Ciara Renee) as Savage attacks in "Legends of Today." It won't belong before Kendra learns why she is a target -she's Hawkgirl, btw - and the reawakening of her powers will bring Hawkman into the picture as the story continues in Arrow's "Legends of Yesterday."
While Zoom is certainly terrifying, Savage will bring his own brand of evil.
"With Vandal, with any villain, the trick is always to find somebody commensurately evil or formidable," Legends showrunner Phil Klemmer said of the series' big bad, according to Comic Book Resources. "We have an ensemble of eight-plus heroes -- you have to come up with a version of the antichrist if you want it to feel like it's anywhere close to being an even challenge between the black hats and the white hats; although in truth most of our guys are sort of gray hats."
