Knicks player J.R. Smith made a jab at Nets player Kris Humphries on Twitter after the New York versus New Jersey game at Madison Square Garden on Monday night.

"Big game tonight! The Garden got really quiet on the way out! #Brooklyn," Humphries boasted on Twitter about the victory where Nets beat the Knicks 88 to 85.

Smith responded to the gloating by targeting Humphries' wife, Kim Kardashian, who is pursuing a divorce from the player as she is pregnant her current boyfriend's child, rapper Kanye West.

"Wasnt quiet when Kanye tore it down last month! RT@KrisHumphries: Big game tonight! The Garden got really quiet on the way out! #Brooklyn," Smith posted on Twitter a few hours after Humphries' message.

Smith's comment was meant to get under Humphries' skin by bringing up West's role in Kardashian's new romantic life.

Humphries and Kardasian are currently in the process of ending their marriage.

Kardashian and Humphries were married for 72 days before filing for separation in October 2011 where they cited irreconcilable differences.

The 32-year-old reality star is trying to speed up the legal work in order to be completely separated to her current husband before she gives birth to her baby with rapper West.

The divorce proceedings have turned into a mess as the 27-year-old basketball player allegedly refuses to officially divorce Kardashian unless she acknowledges his claims that their marriage was a fraud, according to The New York Post.

While Kardashian is trying to end her current marriage, she apparently is not looking to begin another with the father of her baby anytime soon, according to TMZ. Kardashian also apparently has not felt the need to validate the identity of her child's father who she insists is her 35-year-old music mogul boyfriend.
