'Downton Abbey' Season 3 Episode 4 Spoilers: Details Released, Matthew Had Concerns Over Estate
The Primetime Emmy award-winning masterpiece "Downton Abbey" has continued to garner the attention of millions of viewers both overseas and here in the United States.
Currently in its third season, the details of the fifth episode of the British-American period television series had been released in the U.K. and the information at hand clearly indicates that big changes lay ahead in Downton.
This past Sunday's thrilling episode No. 4 of Season three of the British-American masterpiece didn't disappoint its fans in terms of drama.
PBS put out the following official summary for episode five:
ITV had put out the following information on the respective episode, when it had originally aired in the United Kingdom in Oct:
"An exciting offer for Edith divides opinion ... Isobel throws Ethel a lifeline ... New maid Ivy is attracting attention below stairs, and Alfred's interest in particular is resented by Daisy ... Anna's perseverance finally pays off. Matthew's concerns about the estate grow but are his protests falling on deaf ears?"
In last week's episode four, it seemed as though the viewers felt they hadn't witnessed the last of Ethel, especially judging by the way that Carl voiced his disapproval of her by calling her a "Prostitute."
On a more positive note, Anna seems to be getting closer and closer to uncovering the mystery surrounding the death of Vera Bates.
Also, new footman Jimmy looks to be getting closer to the hands of Thomas, who he appears to be getting increasingly comfortable around.
Taking place in the fictional Yorkshire country estate of Downton Abbey, the show chronicles the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family after the Edwardian era and centers around historic events during that respective time period.
"Downton Abbey" airs every Sunday on PBS at 9 p.m. EST.
