Plague, knights, and Monty Python spring are the first things that spring to mind when Medieval Times, but episode 12's blacklister will draw their name from a slightly more obscure piece of European history.
Formerly a proto-vigilante court system in Germany, the Vehm conducted secret trails during the 14th and 15th centuries. Knowing The Blacklist, the next criminal on Red's hit list will also have a penchant for playing judge, jury and executioner.

Hopefully by time "The Vehm" airs, Red and Liz's fugitive state will have resolved itself. Season 3 took a different course than its predecessors, using Blacklisters for leverage rather than simply rounding them up for the FBI. Once "The Blacklist" kicks off the spring season with "The Director" and "The Director: Part 2," Ms. Keen and Mr. Reddington may no longer need the criminals' help.
Next time on The Blacklist, Liz and Red will find themselves separated as the latter falls into a dangerous situation during "Kings of the Highway."
