Teen Wolf's kitsune will turn to Native American lore in an effort to undo the Dread Doctor's meddling.

Arden Cho's Kira will travel to New Mexico during season 5B, and her trip will put her in touch with members of a Navjo tribe. The news comes straight from series creator Jeff Davis, who teased the introduction of a Skinwalker while speaking with Teen Wolf News.

"We worked with a Navajo consultant," Davis explained while teasing the events of episode 13.

It appears Native American mythology might also be covered at Beacon Hills High during the spring semester, according to photo obtained by Teen Wolf News. However, it appears the teens will be learning about the Ojibwe (Chippewa), who live in Canada and the northern regions of the Midwest, far from the deserts of New Mexico.

It is currently unknown who will play the Skinwalker, but actress Tonantzin Carmelo joined the cast as October came to an end. Considering Kira's New Mexico scenes were filmed earlier this fall, Carmelo's character - and references to the Ojibwe - will appear much later than episode 13.
