'Walking Dead' Season 3 Spoilers: Details On Michonne, Andrea & Stability Of Rick's Leadership Role? (Video)
Now less than a month away, the zombie-thriller "The Walking Dead" has many fans frantically scouring the web to get their hands on the latest information on the second half of Season 3.
The fall finale left many loyalists on the edge of their seats when Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) prison crew made its way onto Woodbury soil. The group raided the seemingly brain-washed town, which is run by the shady Governor (David Morrissey).
In the process, the faction was able to rescue Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and her main squeeze Glenn (Steven Yeun). However, Daryl (Norman Reedus) was captured by the Governor's henchmen and about to be forced into a fight with his brother, Merle (Michael Rooker), whom he hadn't seen since Season one.
Although the first two seasons have primarily honed in on interpersonal tiffs and humans versus zombies, the second part of the third season looks to be an all out battle between the prison gang and the populace of Woodbury.
Moving forward, details on the mid-season premiere, which is titled "Suicide Kings" have come out on the web, courtesy of an interview given by Danai Gurira, who plays the part of the sword-wielding Michonne.
"Their relationship is definitely in a crisis. Michonne realizes that she's lost that person she had, really lost her this time. She sees that these (Rick) are good people. Now the battle is against herself to get to a point where she can be vulnerable with them and be willing to open," she said, according to Carter.
While the group and Michonne come to terms with each other, the promotional clip reveals Rick's son Carl telling his dad to "stop being the leader." The rapidly maturing youngster's words hint at the strong possibility that he may indeed step up to the position to lead the group.
There was also footage of Carl that indicates a potential young romance in the works with Beth. However, Beth is also seen giving Rick a smooch on the cheek, which could serve to complicate the situation.
"The Walking Dead" will return on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 9 pm EST.
