'Castle' Season 8 News: Fans Confused As ABC Pushes Winter Premiere Back To February
Just a week after ABC announced that Castle would return for the second half of season 8 in January, the network has decided to push it back.
After the midseason finale of Castle aired Monday night, the network aired a promo revealing the return date to be Feb. 1. This is in contrast to the press release ABC sent out just last week that revealed the winter premiere to be Jan. 4.
Oddly enough, it had previously been reported by TVLine that the show was returning in February after an extended hiatus. So did ABC move it up to January only to push it back to February in the course of a week? Needless to say, Castle fans are confused.

Castle co-showrunner Terence Paul Winter took to Twitter after the episode and said they would return in February, only to be flooded with replies of fans who thought it was returning Jan. 4.

Considering ABC ran the promo with the "Feb. 1" return date and Winter tweeted about the February premiere it appears to be set in stone - at least for now.
ABC has not released any information on why the winter premiere date has seemingly been moved all over the place.
