Thanksgiving is a good time to get together with family, but it can also be comforting to surround yourself with your favorite TV characters!

Thanksgiving has been a staple on television for decades, and sites like Hulu and Amazon have dozens of episodes taking place on or around the holiday.

Here are the five best Thanksgiving episodes we recommend you watch for the upcoming Turkey Day that will make you laugh but also might just warm your heart.

Cheers - "Thanksgiving Orphans"

This classic episode of Cheers features none of the main characters having big plans except Diane (Shelly Long). After Diane suggests to Carla (Rhea Perlman) that she host a Thanksgiving dinner for everyone, chaos ensues as surprise guests attend, others drop out and more hijinks take place.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine - "Thanksgiving"

Amy (Melissa Fumero) hosts Thanksgiving at her apartment and while the important members of the 99th precinct show up, everything goes horribly wrong. Brooklyn Nine-Nine's best episodes are the ones where the cast is bouncing off each other, and this is a classic example.

Frasier - "A Lilith Thanksgiving"

Want something a little more upscale on Thanksgiving? Frasier has this episode in which Frasier (Kelsey Grammer), Niles (David Hyde Pierce) and Martin (John Mahoney) take a trip to Boston for Thanksgiving.

Seinfeld - "The Mom and Pop Store"

Of course, not all Thanksgivings are so heart-warming so this episode of Seinfeld may do the trick for that cynical heart of yours. This episode features Kramer (Michael Richards) leading a mom and pop store into debt, Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) allows Mr. Pitt (Ian Abercrombie) to hold a balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) isn't invited to a Thanksgiving Eve party.

South Park - "A History Channel Thanksgiving"

And now for something completely zany. This 2011 episode of South Park essentially reimagines the first Thanksgiving as including aliens - because there's no history to indicate that there weren't aliens.
