Matthew Weiner, who created the now iconic Mad Men, is stepping into the director's chair for a season 4 episode of Orange Is the New Black, says The Hollywood Reporter. The multi-hyphenate directed and wrote several episodes of Mad Men previously.

Laura Prepon, who plays Alex Vause on the prison dramedy, spoke of having a presence as strong as Weiner on set.

"We filmed a huge day on Sunday, and a lot of directors might have been overwhelmed by that, but he wasn't and he knew exactly what he wanted to do. With a huge cast like ours, when you have a director who knows exactly what they want, it makes everything go a lot smoother. I love Matt - he's awesome" Prepon said.

But Prepon would not divulge anything further on what to expect from Weiner's episode or any other episode for that matter.

"I will get in a lot of trouble," she said. "But I can say the fans are going to love it."

This is Weiner's first TV endeavor since wrapping up Mad Men. Weiner has won nine Emmys in his career - most of which for Mad Men. He has won four Emmys for producing the series as well as three Emmys for his writing on the show. Previously, he won Emmys for The Sopranos.

Orange Is the New Black season 4 is expected to be released on Netflix in June 2016.
