Dancing With the Stars pro Tony Dovolani is claiming that he was followed by Scientology when Leah Remini participated on the series.

Is Bindi Irwin One Of The Greatest 'Dancing With the Stars' Contestants EVER?

Remini and Dovolani danced together in season 17 (fall 2013), ultimately coming in fifth place. This went down after Remini made the public decision to leave the Church of Scientology. And Dovolani is now revealing that the church kept a close eye on him during this time.

"I know I was followed a few times. I think they try to find anything they can on a person and try to use it against them," Dovolani told TMZ recently. "They couldn't find anything on me because I'm a happily married dude. And I don't do anything wrong!"

However, the Church of Scientology is refuting this claim, telling Page Six that this is all a publicity stunt as Remini promotes her new book Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology.

"This is nuts. It never happened. Like we have said before, this is just another publicity stunt for her book," the church said.

Remini had previously been a member of Scientology since the age of 9, with the 45-year-old finally leaving the church in 2013. Active members of Scientology in Hollywood include Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Kelly Preston, Kirstie Alley, Jenna Elfman, Laura Prepon and Elisabeth Moss.

Dancing With the Stars returns for a new season on Monday, March 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. It is currently unknown if Dovolani will return for the next season, though he is currently the longest running pro with 20 consecutive seasons.
