Hong Kong actor Ron Ng stood by his girlfriend Viann Zhang despite scandalous pictures of her leaked online by the actor's fans.

Ng told his fans he would not slam Zhang during a promotional event of the film "L, Escargot" Ng said he is aware of his girlfriends' past and did not consider it "a big deal."

The actor said he is unhappy about his fans posting the pictures and claiming that the lady is just using the actor to promote herself.

However Ng asked his fans not to discredit her work and hard efforts, according to the Oriental Daily.

Among the pictures that fans made public was one where she is younger and appears in bed with another man. Another photo shows her smoking under age.

Zhang is pursuing a modeling and acting career.
