Coulson (Clark Gregg), Fitz (Iain de Caestecker), and Ward (Brett Dalton) became the portal's latest victims as episode 9 came to a close, and "Maveth" will see the fraught trio come into contact with Hydra's prized Inhuman (and Will, of course). The SHIELD agents and their former pal can't get along on Earth, and you can bet Rosalind's life that they can't get along on the planet from hell.
"The next episode, "Maveth," the planet is going to host a lot of what goes on in the hour," Gregg said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "This terrifying creature called 'it' is on this planet who has now been joined by Ward. It's safe to say that we'll find out a lot more about both of them and it will be more than Coulson and Fitz ever imagined."

Whatever the outcome, Luke Mitchell (Lincoln) believes fans will need the full three-month winter hiatus to recover.
"It is completely a game-changer," Mitchell told Comic Book Resources. "It's going to send shockwaves through everyone, through the characters and the audience. People are going to need the break to discuss and deal with what happens in the winter finale before we come back."
