"The Big Bang Theory" will be premiering an all-new episode for Valentine's Day. The respective installment will supposedly take each of the characters in a different direction.

With that said, an appropriate question that is surely on the minds of many of the show's fans is whether or not Sheldon's relationship with Amy Farrah Fowler will ever progress from the point it is currently at?

The query is one that will reportedly be addressed in the upcoming installment, according to Carter.

Mayim Bialik, who plays the role of Amy on the highly popular sitcom, recently spoke to E! News and explained that her character's forceful attitude could very well turn out to create quite a stir.

"Amy is really pushing the envelope with Sheldon. It's been really interesting and really multidimensional how he reacts and what he does with that information."

The moment of culmination in the Sheldon/Amy relationship will more than likely occur in the Valentine's Day episode, which is reportedly being set up to really change the direction of each character's relationship dynamic.

Carter Matt is reporting that the half-hour lover's holiday episode will feature four completely separate stories that will go on throughout the course of that time slot. However, it's also said that not all of the relationships will turn in a happy ending by its finish.

If fans go with the assumption that Howard and Bernadette will remain in wedlock and that Raj's love life with women can't possibly get any worse than it is, then that leaves Sheldon and Amy as well as Leonard and Penny as the two romantic duos that could very well face less than ideal scenarios.

Next up for "The Big Bang Theory" will be the "The Cooper/Kripke Invasion" episode, which is set to air at 8 p.m. EST on Jan. 31.
