The Voice is ready to knock its season 9 contestants down to eight.

'The Flash' Season 2: A Speedster Sibling Rivalry Is In The Work, Wally West vs Barry Allen

The NBC series started the Live Shows weeks ago, but the series' decision to only eliminate one hopeful per week is giving the top performers plenty of extra stage time. It's time such talents like Jordan Smith and Amy Vachal are putting to good use.

Vachal and Smith were among the Top 9 when they took the stage on Monday night in an effort to secure one of the three things that can keep them in the game - the public's vote, the iTunes multiplier, or the Instant Save.

Team Adam's Levine and Team Blake Shelton worked to preserve their perfect track record with performances of Somebody to Love (Smith), To Make You Feel My Love (Vachal), Even God Must Get the Blues (Shelby Brown), Ghost (Barrett Barber), The Climb (Zach Seabaugh), and 9 to 5 (Emily Ann Roberts).

Team Gwen Stefani, meanwhile, showcased Braiden Sunshine's talents with Amazing Grace while Jeffery Austin took on Believe.

Currently sitting in last place, Team Pharrell Williams managed to stay in the game with Madi Davis' rendition of Big Girls Don't Cry.
