So far the details surrounding what caused Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) to fall into electrical wires and get electrocuted have been scarce, but the truth-and Steffy's (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) role in the incident are about to come out on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Thomas & Steffy Race To Save Ivy

Ivy isn't dead following the incident, but she is still in critical condition in the hospital, and as they all wait for answers on whether or not she will be okay, Liam (Scott Clifton) will be confronting Steffy about what exactly happened, and will demand his fiance give him answers. But when he scolds her for not just walking away from Ivy entirely when she confronted her about telling Wyatt (Darin Brooks) the truth about her affair with Thomas (Pierson Fode), Steffy will go on the defensive, and remind Liam why she was in the backstage area to begin with.

"Did it occur to you to walk away?" he asks her in a preview clip for the Tuesday, December 8 episode.

Is Ashleigh Brewer Leaving 'B&B?'

"I told you! I told you, I was looking after the electrical panel," Steffy replies.

However, if Steffy chooses to omit part of the truth from what she tells Liam, she could be asking for trouble-especially if he overhears her when she goes in to see a still unconscious Ivy and apologizes to her through tears about everything that transpired between them.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do this to you," she says in the clip.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
