They were considered underdogs throughout the entire season but kept hanging on and proving their critics wrong, but unfortunately the luck ran out for Tiffany and Krista one leg short of the finals on The Amazing Race.

Which Team Will Win 'The Amazing Race' Season 27?

Despite Krista's struggles at the roadblock in Hong Kong, the cheerleaders were given a chance at the final spot in the last leg by the Green Team's 55 minute penalty. Unfortunately, a bad taxi driver who brought them to the wrong location cost them their chance at the finals by mere minutes.

"If there was one super power I wish I had on the race, it would be the ability to predict the future," Krista said in a post-elimination interview with CBS. "I would have definitely used that power on the last leg and never gotten into the cab after the Roadblock. If I could see the future, I would have been able to see that our driver had no idea where he was taking us and would have chosen to get another driver. Too bad I'm not psychic!"

The Green Team Risks Elimination

And though neither they or the teams they became closely aligned with-mother/son Alabamians Denise and James Earl and best friend Texans Tanner and Josh made it to the final leg, the girls are thankful for the alliances they made, especially with Texas, whom they admit to having a strong connection with.

"From day one, we started to build a strong genuine friendship with #TeamTexas and that's it," Tiffany said. "We have a lot in common and got along very well during the race...In the second leg, we ran out of money and the boys helped us out and gave us the $15 we needed for transportation. From that moment, I knew we could trust them and were very grateful to them. During the race, we made some really good friends that will last a lifetime."

"We immediately bonded with them from the second we met," Krista added. "They are incredible people inside and out--and they aren't too bad on the eyes, either. We spent a lot of our down time together and they made the race a blast for us. We would laugh so hard together that our stomachs would hurt. Too bad they live in Texas but, hey, maybe a long distance relationship can work in the future."

The Amazing Race season 27 finale airs Friday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
