'The Amazing Race' Season 27: Show Not 'Fixed' For Justin/Diana Win, 'They Didn't Get Any Breaks [PHOTO]
Fans have been in a bit of an uproar over what seemed to be a lucky break for The Green Team on the penultimate leg of The Amazing Race, but ousted team The Cheerleaders are insisting that nothing has been fixed in their competitors favor.
Krista & Tiffany Dish On Their Race Experience
In an exit interview with Reality TV World, Krista and Tiffany dismissed the notion that the show has been fixed to let Justin and Diana win-even though the two managed to overcome a 55 minute penalty, which allowed them to secure the final spot in the last leg a mere five minutes before they arrived at the mat and were eliminated.
The two said that it was simply mere luck for Justin and Diana that allowed them to get ahead--but there was no fixing the competition.
Which Team Will Win 'The Amazing Race' Season 27?
"I don't think that they really got any breaks at all because if they wouldn't have gotten a penalty, then I think that would've been a break," Krista said. "But I think that the Race made the right decision, and since [the ferry] was 25 minutes closer, they even gave them that time. I mean, sometimes it just comes down to luck, you know? They got there faster."
"And their taxi got lost too," she added. "They went to the completely wrong place as well when they were right there, so I can understand the frustration. But, I mean, all these people were saying all of these crazy things, like, it was rigged and all this for them. And no. Uh uh. And if you think about it, during every leg, there would be a team that does get lucky. We've gotten lucky with certain things. And I think that they just dominated so much of the Race on their own that they never needed to get lucky before."
The Amazing Race airs Friday at 8 p.m. on CBS.
