Fans have been heartbroken over the news that Jason Thompson was exiting his role as Patrick Drake on General Hospital, and now, they may need to prepare to say their goodbyes to him sooner than expected.

According to new reports, there's a chance that Thompson will be making his last appearance as Patrick Drake in the coming week, with a storyline involving the recently single surgeon and his daughter heading to Paris to find her mother about to take off.

Patrick promised Emma (Brooklyn Rae SIlzer) in the December 10 episode that they would go to Paris to find Robin (Kimberly McCullogh) after he and Sam (Kelly Monaco) called off their engagement, which devastated the young girl. And according to The Inquisitr, it wasn't an empty promise made by a father to appease a crying daughter.

According to the website, Patrick will team up with Robin's parents, Anna (Finola Hughes) and Robert (Tristan Rogers) and they will all head to Paris to try and track Robin down, after she left for the city nearly a year ago under suspicious circumstances-and has rarely been in touch since.

However, when they arrive, if they encounter the fact that she is once again working for Jerry Jax (Sebastian Roche), it could prove to have disastrous results for the group-especially with rumors that soon after the trip, Anna will return to Port Charles with Emma-but Patrick, Robin and Robert will not.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
