After 13 years off the air, the paranormal drama will return to Fox this January. When it does, long time fans will be treated to a healthy dose of mythology and stand-alone eps. For those currently searching the skies for aliens, prepare to get just a little more paranoid.
"We are playing with this mythology in a whole new way and the government's secreting of evidence about extraterrestrials might come into play..." series creator Chris Carter teased in a behind-the-scenes featurette.
You won't have to wait long to dive into Mulder ((David Duchovny) and Scully's (Gillian Andderson) ET adventures, either. It will be this brand new conspiracy that brings the duo together for the season premiere, "My Struggle."
After meeting a conspiracy theorist named Tad O'Mally (Joel McHale), Fox and Dana will be introduced to "Sveta (Annett Mahendru), a possible alien abductee who shares shocking information with them that will challenge everything that Mulder has ever believed about the existence of aliens and the government's role in covering them up."
