Episodes of Love & Hip New York are usually flurried with physical fights between each of the characters, but this episode was all about patching things up. Joe Budden and Tahiry, Rich Dollaz and Erica Mena and Yandy and Mandeecees were all in quest of mending their tattered relationships.

As hard as she appears on the outside, Tahiry still has a soft spot for her ex-boyfriend, Joe Budden. She is open to helping the rapper through his current drug abuse issues, as long as he agrees to try to stay clean. Tahiry orders Budden to take a drug test right in the house. The test results put Joe in the clear. Tahiry upholds her end of the bargain and cooks him a steak dinner. They try to put the past behind and more forward with a friendship even with old feelings brewing. Tahiry confides in Joe that she is looking to start a career in music and invites him to a studio session to hear her newest song, “Devil.” She said the track is loosely based on past relationships, but even Joe could see that it’s about him. He likes the track and promises to pen a remix for Tahiry after he gets back from tour.

Raqi & Jen the Pen are both looking for work after their radio careers went south. The ladies set up a meeting with Ebro, the Program Director at Hot 97 to pitch a new show. Though hesitant at first, Ebro agrees to give them a shot, but warns they must keep it professional and no flirting with the guests. The ladies book rapper Vado for their first interview and Ebro’s guidelines go right out the window. Raqi is aggressively flirting with Vado during their on-air interview. The ladies meet to discuss what went wrong with the audition which escalates into an argument. Raqi tells Jen that she will never make it, and Jen hits back with an unforgettable diss saying, “I’m going to make it because I’m white.” Raqi is shocked by her response and thinks she might even be a racist.

Rich Dollaz is still managing and dating Erica Mena, but feels he can’t deal with her hot head and bad attitude. He enlists the help of Yandy who initially introduced the two, to get her to calm Erica down a bit. Yandy meets with Erica and she tells her she is the way uses her anger as a defense mechanism. Meanwhile, Erica is trying to convince Rich to have her put out a ballad for her first track. Though Erica is more of a looker than a singer, she surprises Rich and Yandy with her improved vocals.

After dealing with their son’s kidney surgery, Yandy and Mandeecees set up a family photo shoot. Yandy’s mother walks in during the shoot unbeknownst to Mandeecees. He is visibly upset and pulls Yandy to the side to talk it out. Mandeecees feels he is left out of all of the family decisions. That’s when Yandy drops a bomb that she is planning to move away to New Jersey with her mother. Later, Yandy meets up with her friend Kimbella to ask for advice. Kimbella suggests that Yandy does something nice for Mandeecees. They come up with the idea of making a sexy video. After viewing the clip, Mandeecees laughs it off and the two appear to be happy again - for now.
