Dina Manzo Divorces Husband; 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Star Announces News
Dina Manzo announced on Feb. 2 her divorce from her husband of seven years, Tommy Manzo.
The former Real Housewives of New Jersey star admitted on Twitter she kept the news a secret for months and that her 17-year-old daughter Lexi, from a previous marriage, has been her "biggest supporter."
"My secret...I have been separated since October, my heart hurts but Tommy & I will always share a very special love," Dina wrote. "So grateful for the support of my loved ones during this time, especially my spiritual friends. You know who u are xoxo."
She added about Lexi's relationship with Tommy, "Tommy adores her & they will remain close.
Dina was previously married to George Hadjiapostoli. She married Tommy in 2005 in a wedding that was featured on the VH1 show My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding. Since choosing not to be a part of The Real Housewives of New Jersey after season two, Dina designed party spaces on HGTV's Dina's Party and recently accepted a starring role on the soap opera drama Tainted Dreams, according to Wetpaint.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey aired already four seasons. The Bravo reality show follows the lives of Caroline Manzo and her sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita, and Teresa Guidice with her cousin Kathy Wakile and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga. The series first aired in 2009 and filming for season five is reportedly halfway over. Bravo has not released an official premiere date, but when Gorga's husband Joe was asked by a fan in late January about the show's return, he said it would premiere in May.
Bravo is home to a number of Real Housewives series,' two of which are currently airing new seasons.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8/7 Central and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Mondays at 9/8 p.m. Central.
