The FX series concluded it's sophomore season on Monday night, but fans will have to wait until early 2017 to head back to Minnesota for season 3. Set in a snowy clime, the black-comedy/crime drama hybrid shoots primarily in the winter, but due to scheduling issues, the cast won't make it back in front of the cameras until late 2016.
"You won't see it in 2016," series creator Noah Hawley said, according to Entertainment Weekly. "It's a winter show, and we don't have the time to film this winter."

Now, fans are just left to wonder which cast members will return for the third year. Season 1 was set in 2006, but viewers traveled back to 1979 for the 2015 installment. According to Entertainment Weekly, season 3 will be based in 2010.
"It's more contemporary. It's set a couple years after season 1," Hawley explained. "There are going to be connections, the way the first year was connected to the movie and the second year was connected to the first, but I think part of the fun is figuring that stuff out and I wouldn't want to take that away from anybody."
Well, we're ready and waiting to take on that puzzle. Time to start ticking off the days.
