Things were going well for them despite Nicole (Reign Edwards) getting pregnant as a surrogate for her sister and brother-in-law, but her relationship with Zende (Rome Flynn) could come to a screeching halt on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Liam Tries To Make Things Right Between Ivy & Steffy

She and Zende were finally getting intimate and planning to sleep together for the first time--but things cooled down quickly when Zende stopped what he was doing after kissing her belly. Now, after realizing Zende is actually freaked out by the fact that she's carrying Rick's (Jacob Young) child, Nicole will end things and walk off in tears. Unfortunately, she won't get very far before Maya (Karla Mosley) notices that something is wrong.

"Just tell us if you're okay," she says to her younger sister in a preview clip for the Friday, December 18 episode.

Ivy Takes Further Action Against Steffy

"I will be," a teary-eyed Nicole replies.

However, the girls' father, Julius (Obba Babatunde) will grow wise to what actually happened between Nicole and Zende--and will waste no time throwing blame at Maya and Rick for asking Nicole to be their surrogate, because he now believes his worst fears have become a reality and Nicole is becoming miserable.

"This baby is affecting Zende and Nicole's relationship," he says in the clip.

Now, Rick and Maya may be forced to try and do some damage control in an effort to save the younger couple's romance, before it's too late.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
