It's the midseason slump, and many television lovers are suffering withdrawal symptoms. What are we supposed to do after the midseason finale? More importantly, what are we supposed to watch? Luckily, our pain is short-lived; after a few weeks of aimlessly perusing our Netflix queue, the midseason premieres will begin. Here are the shows you should start getting excited about now.

DC's Legends Of Tomorrow [The CW]

The network has already had comic-inspired hits courtesy of The Flash and Arrow. Now it's looking to expand its superhero franchise with this highly-anticipated addition, starring Brandon Routh and Arthur Darvill.

Bordertown [FOX]

FOX has repeatedly struck gold with its edgy and highly entertaining animated fare (such as The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Bob's Burgers), and is hoping luck will smile on it again with Bordertown. This satirical look at relations in a small town between Americans and Mexicans comes from Seth MacFarlane and Mark Hentemann, the creators of Family Guy. In a word, expect some controversial and topical humor.

Lucifer [FOX]

This beloved comic series is about to make its onscreen debut, and it looks like a hell of a good time. The story follows Lucifer (yes, Satan), who has grown bored with ruling Hell and opted instead to open a nightclub in Los Angeles. When he gets tangled up in murder investigations, crime and the forces of good and evil combine for what promises to be a supernaturally exciting drama.

Angel From Hell [CBS]

Do you ever miss the glory days of Sue Sylvester, Jane Lynch's unforgettable role on Glee? Then you'll want to tune into Angel From Hell for more of her signature madcap mayhem. Lynch plays a woman whose the worst angel ever... or is she just crazy? Maggie Lawson co-stars as the reluctant object of her heavenly efforts.

Vinyl [HBO]

Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger, and Terence Winter: what more do you need? How about an intense new drama from HBO that focuses on the New York City rock scene of the 1970s? Starring Bobby Cannavale and Olivia Wilde, this promises to be a gritty and beautifully filmed television experience with a to-die-for soundtrack.

Shades Of Blue [NBC]

Jennifer Lopez is returning to acting, and taking no prisoners. Jenny from the block stars alongside Ray Liotta in this tense drama about corrupt cops, double-crossing, and the bonds of loyalty and honor. For fans of crime shows, police dramas, and the fabulous Miss Lopez, this is must-see TV.

Angie Tribeca [TBS]

If you miss Parks and Rec as much as we do, you've probably already heard of Angie Tribeca. The show has already received ecstatic early reviews, and TBS has ordered a second season before the premiere date. The show is a parody of all those tense, knuckle-biting police procedurals that appear on every network. Smart, savvy, and with impeccable comic credentials, we can't wait to get some tough justice courtesy of Angie Tribeca.

Telenovela [NBC]

Eva Longoria has a wonderful sense of humor about herself; the sexy actress is playing up the persona she created during her run on the hit show Desperate Housewives. This time she's been cast as the star of an over-the-top telenovela. There's only one problem: she doesn't speak Spanish. See the madcap mayhem and good-humored mockery of celebrity culture, with a sparkling cast that includes actual superstars of Spanish soap opera.
