'Chicago Fire' Season 4: A Dawsey Marriage Is 'Inconsequential', An Engagement Not In The Cards [VIDEO]
Chicago Fire's Casey isn't going to put a ring on it...again.
Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Dawson (Monica Raymund) are back together, but the couple isn't planning on making any outward changes to their relationship status. In other words, don't expect Casey to get down on his knee for a second time.
"In their hearts and minds, they are already married," Spencer explained, according to TV Line. "They're together. I don't see them breaking up. I, as Jesse, would be traumatized if they had to break up at this point. I'm a big ['Dawsey'] shipper. But the actual marriage is inconsequential."

After all, the pair has been through as much, if not more, than most married couples. A piece of paper is hardly necessary for this couple, and a legally binding marriage would actually put the pair in a rather unfortunate position. Should Dawsey get hitched, either Matt or Dowson would have to switch houses. Nobody wants that.
