It's been a tough year for the Horton family once again, but the heartache they've endured and tears they have shed won't stop them from all gathering for the annual tradition of hanging their ornaments on the family tree on Days of Our Lives.

Everyone will gather for the annual celebration-including Hope (Kristian Alfonso), Ciara (Vivian Jovanni), Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), Doug (Bill Hayes), JJ (Casey Moss) and other members of the family will all be present for the tradition that sees them all come together and put their differences aside, in the hopes of truly embracing the holiday spirit.

In addition, they will celebrate the addition of two new members of the family for the first time. Abigail's (Kate Mansi) son Thomas will officially be welcomed into the world and the Horton family with his ornament, and the family will continue accepting Aiden's now orphaned son Chase (Jonathon McClendon) as one of their own since he lives with former stepmother Hope, with his own ornament as well.

However, the celebration will still be bittersweet for the family which lost some of its most profound and beloved members in the past year. Will was murdered during the Necktie Killer's spree in town, and is no longer with them to celebrate. Bo is also now gone after dying of a brain tumor not long after his triumphant return to Salem. In addition, Will's husband, Sonny, is also not there to hang his own ornament on the tree after leaving town before Will's death and beginning to live in Paris.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
