Tonioli is set to make his film acting debut next year. The over-the-top personality spoke with The Mirror recently and revealed he couldn't say much about the role.
"Next year I have a part in a film. It's my first one. It's very exciting, I've already filmed it but I can't say anymore about it," he admitted. "It's top secret."

Tonioli noted that he was previously "an actor before I was a TV presenter and I really loved doing it," yet because of his thick Italian accent, "my options were restricted when I got to the UK."
If his role next year is received well, he said he would consider an offer if it was for one film franchise in particular:
"My dream role is to be in Star Wars, I don't care what I'd be, I'd be Chewbacca's handbag, darling," he quipped. "If the right offer comes I will pursue it."
Tonioli is a very busy man, judging both Dancing With the Stars in America and its U.K. equivalent Strictly Come Dancing. It remains to be seen how long he will continue judging on each of these shows, though if he gets bitten by the acting bug, it's possible he may pursue a new career avenue.
Dancing With the Stars returns for another season on Monday, March 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
