Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) has a lot on his plate right now, most of which has to deal with Earth-2's demonic speedster. When The Flash returns on Jan. 19, Central City's premiere hero will come closer to sharing that burden when he (attempts) to loop Patty (Shantel VanSanten) in on his little secret.
Unfortunately, there will be a clock stopping metahuman in town to ruin his plans during "Potential Energy."

"Now that they've grown closer, Barry considers telling Patty that he is The Flash," TV Addict teased on New Year's Eve. "Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton) try to get to know Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale), and the team hunts down a meta-human who can slow time itself."
Just as Barry struggles with telling Patty the truth, he will also have a hard time getting to know the future Kid Flash. A biological son/adopted son rift will come into play now that Wally is on the scene.
"Wally is trying to find his place within this family, but his place is already kind of taken, in his eyes at least, by Barry," Lonsdale told Entertainment Weekly. "He isn't the biggest fan of Barry in the beginning...at this point, it's a funny sibling rivalry from Wally's end, at least."
