New Year's Eve is officially going to end on a tragic note in Salem, as four people will be rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a three-car pileup on Days of Our Lives.

A Horrific Car Crash Changes Everything

The accident will involve Eric (Greg Vaughan), who got behind the wheel while incredibly wasted; Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), who was headed in the direction of the party after being at the hospital with Abigail (Kate Mansi) all night, and Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Daniel (Shawn Christian), who were quickly picking up a gift for Theresa (Jen Lilley) from the festivities before heading home. However, none of them will make it to their planned destinations because of the wreck--and before everything is done and over with, one of them will be dead.

All four will be brought to the hospital to try and save their lives, but spoilers tease that Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) will be forced to make a decision to try and save at least one life, if not more. Being that she is Daniel's mother, she will likely be forced to decide between keeping her son--who may be too far gone to save--alive, or using the tragedy she is so clearly facing to save another life.

Abigail Learns The Shocking Truth About Thomas' Real Father

If Brad and Daniel's car is the one that suffers the most damage from the accident, and they are the ones with the most severe injuries from it, it may come down to Maggie having to choose to save Brady by sacrificing Daniel. If Daniel is an organ donor, and Brady needs a transplant in order to survive, Maggie may be driven to let her son go in order to keep her loved ones from having to mourn twice because they lost both men in one night. And though her decision could help save Brady, it won't keep her heartache from having to say goodbye to her own son from being incredibly painful.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
