'The Flash' Season 2: Earth-2 Is Heating Up, Dead Hero Returns In Set PHOTOS [VIDEO]
Ronnie Raymond died saving Central City, but on Earth-2, the body of Firestorm is still alive and kicking.
Robbie Amell (Ronnie) posted a photo of his quantum splicer back in December, and a new set photo indicates that the former member of the STAR Labs team will drop by as our heroes head to Earth-2 in episodes 13 and 14.
The return of the original Firestorm isn’t entirely unexpected – the dead have a tendency to rise in the DC universe, and the creation Central City’s breaches kicked open the door to the wide world of doppelgangers.
"You're never really dead when you're on The Flash, a TV show where there are universes and time travel," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly. "He was, in fact, killed in that moment, but that doesn't mean that we've seen the last of Robbie Amell on this show."
Now, viewers will have to wait with baited breath to see if the self-sacrificing engineer is as kind hearted in Earth-2 as he was on Earth-1. It’s a distinct possibility, particularly considering that the episodes will see Earth-2 Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) will turn to the dark side as Killer Frost.
