Rihanna to Produce and Star in British Fashion Show
Rihanna is set to make her TV debut as the executive producer of a fashion reality show on Sky Living.
The Bajan beauty, who wants to discover the “next generation of raw, undiscovered designer talent”, chose Girls Aloud superstar, Nicola Roberts to host the 10-episode show. However, don’t expect RiRi to appear in every episode. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the singer’s role will focus on behind-the-scenes action with occasional appearances in front of the camera.
“I have been very fortunate to work with some truly amazing designers and stylists throughout my career, and they have been instrumental in making sure my creative vision reaches the stage,” Rihanna said in a statement. “I am excited to follow the journey of our aspiring contestants and see how their individuality influences their efforts during the course of the show.”
Contestants will participate in challenges that include designing outfits for various celebrities. The final task will focus on the creation of an outfit for Rihanna’s July 20 performance in Hyde Park.
