Julianne appeared at the People's Choice Awards last night to help promote Grease Live!, which she is starring in on Jan. 31. The dancer-turned-judge spoke with Entertainment Tonight about DWTS pros Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd's recent engagement as well as her own.

"Dancing With the Stars has always been my family, so the fact that we're all embarking on these big milestones in our lives at the same time is pretty awesome," said Julianne, who is engaged to NHL player Brooks Laich. "I think we're all just getting older and growing up, what's happening?!"

As for Derek, Julianne talked about his passion for his career.

"You know what? Derek is so talented, he's got so many things cooking right now with everything going on," she said. "He's just so, so driven by what he's doing and he's got so many things coming up that I think people are going to be excited about."

It remains to be seen if Derek will return for season 22 of Dancing With the Stars this spring, as he suggested shortly after season 21 that he was unsure if he was returning. But considering his popularity and love of the show, it seems very likely we'll be seeing both Houghs on the next season of the dance competition.

Dancing With the Stars returns for a new season on Monday, March 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
