‘NCIS’ Season 13: Why Pauley Perrette Says Michael Weatherly’s Departure Is ‘Not My Story To Tell’ [PHOTOS, VIDEO]
The NCIS fandom has been in an uproar since Michael Weatherly confirmed he would be leaving the CBS series at the end of its current season!
POLL: How Do You Think Michael Weatherly's Character Tony DiNozzo Will Leave 'NCIS'?
Weatherly has been portraying Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo since the backdoor pilot for NCIS happened on JAG in April 2003, but now it seems like the actor is ready to move on.
His costars David McCallum (Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard on the series) and Brian Dietzen (Jimmy Palmer on the series) have spoken out about his eventual departure, showing support for his decision, but it seems another costar is taking the news a little harder.
David McCallum Was 'Astonished' Over Cote de Pablo's Decision To Leave 'NCIS'
Pauley Perrette (Abby Sciuto on the show) appears to be a bit distressed over the situation, but is remaining supportive of Weatherly just like her other costars that have commented on his eventual leaving.
Early this morning, Jan. 7, the actress shared a snap with Weatherly on her Twitter, in which they're all smiles, commenting, "Love."
Weatherly and Perrette have a great friendship on and off set. In recent times, they had their very own Christmas celebration together.
The actress shared Weatherly "loves his job" as well as the fans since NCIS is so popular due to the millions of people that watch.
She hinted his reasoning for leaving has nothing to do with the show or the fan support.
"And it's not my story to tell," she stated before professing her love for her costar by adoringly calling him "my bro."
Perrette then shared another snap with Weatherly, but this time it was of them on set in their characters' wardrobe.
The actress then rambled about her lack of sleep.
She even revealed Weatherly is in her list of things she's presently "scared about."
Perrette certainly appears to have a lot going on in her mind, which could be leaving her quite anxiety-ridden.
She eventually brought up how some Twitter users got pretty nasty toward her when Cote de Pablo (Ziva David on series) left at the start of Season 11 and it appears the same thing is happening again with Weatherly's announcement.
"Jerks stay away," Perrette tweeted.
It's unfortunate Perrette is feeling so overwhelmed, but we are curious about her "not my story to tell" comment.
NCIS airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
