Well, the future of the series, that is. The Winchesters' current forecast is Dark(ness) with a 95 percent chance of smiting.
The paranormal drama is currently in its 11th season, and it sounds like season 12 is in the bag. CW president Mark Pedowitz spoke about the Jared Padalecki (Sam) and Jensen Ackles (Dean) led series at Sunday's 2016 Television Critics Association winter press tour, and as he has so many times in the past, the exec affirmed the network's faith in Supernatural.

"Both Jared and Jensen are having a blast," Pedowitz said, according to TV Line. "As long as they're having a blast, it's a great thing. The show is performing better than it did last year, better than you could ever hope. I'm very hopeful that we'll see it again."
Supernatural is currently in the midst of its winter hiatus, but Sam and Dean will be back in action on Jan. 20. The midseason finale turned the brothers' plight on its head and left Sam trapped with Lucifer while Dean pondered the fate of Amara (Emily Swallow). "Devil in the Details" will pick up where "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" left off, and Sam will be faced with a difficult decision.
