The NCIS cast and crew is hard at work filming future episodes for the current season since returning from their holiday vacations!

Is Pauley Perrette Losing Sleep Over Michael Weatherly's 'NCIS' Departure?

One of the show's writers, that has been with the CBS series since 2013, Jennifer Corbett, has been teasing fans on Twitter with snaps from the filming of an episode.

It all began a few days into this year when Corbett seemed to share a picture from inside Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard's (David McCallum) morgue.

Brian Dietzen Totally Supports Michael Weatherly's Decision To Leave 'NCIS'

This is for "Episode 297" and it was the first day of filming for it.

The following day, Corbett shared a prop from on set, which actually came from NCIS' parent show JAG. John M. Jackson portrayed Admiral A.J. Chegwidden from 1996 until 2004 on JAG and he made an appearance on NCIS in 2013.

The third day of shooting this episode seems to have been a night shoot given the nearly black picture Corbett revealed.

On the fourth day of shooting, Corbett captured quite the stunning sky.

Tuesday was the fifth day of shooting and Corbett dished, "things are getting medieval," while showing off part of an old building that looks like it could be a church.

We have no idea what to make of all of these images from set for this particular episode, but knowing how NCIS is filmed and written, the characters will surely endure a lot of action and drama.

NCIS airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
