Dwight’s hard work finally paid off.

NBC is currently in talks to develop a spin-off of The Office, focusing on the show’s popular character Dwight Schrute, Deadline reports.

While nothing is set in stone, the spin-off would give Office fans a glimpse into Dwight’s life at his family’s beet farm and bed and breakfast.

“At its base it will be about a family farm struggling to survive and a family trying to stay together,” a source told Deadline. The beet farm was featured in season 2 of The Office.

Rainn Wilson, who plays Dwight, and executive producer Paul Lieberstein have been tapped to produce the show along with another Office producer, Ben Silverman.

If NBC greenlights the show, it will be network’s second attempt at an Office spinoff. In 2007, NBC failed to launch an Office spin-off, but that idea eventually became Parks & Recreation.

The potential spin-off could air in 2013.
