Girl Meets World may turn a corner on diversity if Rowan Blanchard has her say.
'Girl Meets World' Will Bring You Much More Of These THREE Characters In Season 3
The 14-year-old actress is well aware that the Disney Channel series lacks diversity on more than one front, and Blanchard strongly supports the inclusion of more LGBTA characters. Blanchard is even game to play a bisexual Riley Matthews, if that is what's in the cards.
"Its v[ery] v[ery] v[ery] important to me, being queer, that there is representation on our show," Riley tweeted on Friday (check out the whole conversation below!).

The teen then clarified her statement about her own sexuality, explaining that while she is currently only attracted to men, she doesn't want to label herself at this point in her life.

It is unknown if the Disney series will follow Blanchard's lead, but Girl Meets World's writers are committed to examining the complicated issues their young characters will encounter in real life. As the teens enter high school, the idea of sexual identity could easily make it into the mix.
