Scot is one of 18 new castaways set to compete for $1 million in Survivor: Kaoh Rong. This season features the return of the Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty concept, which divides the castaways by personality strengths. As a former NBA star, Scot has been played on the Brawn tribe.
In his CBS bio, Scot speaks about his biggest claim to fame being "an NBA Championship ring and playing in the NBA for 11 years."

As for his inspiration in life, he cites, "My father. He gave me the genetics and the guidance until he died. Roy Williams, my college coach, because he helped me with my work ethic."
Scot also said that he will survive in the elements because, "I'm a great teammate and know how to make others better. And, I'm a winner!" And he believes he can win Survivor because he has the ability to outsmart my opponents."
He is one of many former sports stars who have competed on Survivor over the years. Unfortunately, they haven't exactly done well as of late. Retired MLB player John Rocker was the third person voted out of Survivor: San Juan del Sur while retired NBA player Cliff Robinson was the fifth one out on Survivor: Cagayan.
