The exchange to trade Natalie (Mara McCaffrey) for Adam (Justin Hartley) seemed to go off well on The Young and the Restless, but Natalie's attempt to escape and get out of town will be halted when Adam's kidnapper unveils herself to her and demands she work for her.

The Exchange For Adam Goes Down

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) was the mastermind behind the whole scheme and will now confront Natalie with her plans to still get the program and keep it for the Abbotts--and out of the hands of the Newmans. The computer program that caused the entire scenario was one that was part of a deal where Kevin (Greg Rikkart) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) schemed an extra $1 million from Victor (Eric Braeden), who was an investor in it, as part of a deal struck with Billy (Jason Thompson). However, following Billy's accident, and Victor learning he was conned and cutting Kevin and Mariah out of the deal, all seemed lost for the Abbotts.

However, now, Phyllis will do whatever she can to make sure things do work out the way she intends, with herself as the benefactor from the program. After making the exchange for Adam so she could get a hold of Natalie again, she cornered her in her suite at the Genoa City club--and will now do whatever it takes to convince her to take the money Victor offers and give him a false version of the program--with the real one going to Phyllis.

Billy Has A Key Memory About His Accident

"You want me to work for you," Natalie says to Phyllis in a preview clip for the Tuesday, Jan. 26 episode.

"With me," Phyllis replies.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
