Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood's characters have long been set to headline the Agents of SHIELD spinoff, but until Tuesday, the rest of the cast remained unknown. Now, however, Marvel has solved one piece of the casting puzzle - Delroy Lindo will take on the role of the 1930's adventurer and troublemaker.

"Dominic Fortune carries with him a cunning and charm but also a dangerous edge that only Delroy could bring to life," executive producer Jeph Loeb announced. "We're thrilled to have him join the show."

Little in known about the series' premise, but Agents Of SHIELD's showrunner Maurissa Tancharoen has referred to the pilot as "awesome."

"It's everything you anticipate as well as things you don't expect at all," Tancharoen told IGN. "It's just really nice to be able to dive into those characters, and [executive producers] Paul [Zbyszewski] and Jeff [Bell] have done that exceptionally well."
