Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) will attempt to stop a "miscarriage of justice" in an upcoming episode of ABC's Castle.

Would 'Castle' Really Continue Without Its Main Characters?

ABC sent out a new press release detailing this season's upcoming 10th episode, which is titled Witness for the Prosecution.

The release reads as follows:

'Castle' Midseason Premiere Features Dead Body At Martha's New Show?

"Castle finally gets his day in court when he takes the stand as the key witness to a murder from five months ago. But when new information suddenly arises, he and Beckett must race against the clock to prevent a miscarriage of justice."

Guest stars for this episode include Sunkrish Bala as Vikram Singh, Kristoffer Polaha as Caleb Brown, Clare Grant as Nina O'Keefe and Darlene Vogel as Sadie Beakman.

Castle showrunners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter previously spoke with TVLine about this particular episode, and how it will be a good one for the show's diehard fans.

"I think it will be a treat for our longtime fans, because it refers to several things that have happened in the last few years," Winter said.

Discussing Castle's behavior in court, the showrunners suggested he might screw things up a bit.

"He's an 'interesting' guy to give testimony. He has to take the stand- annnnnd it kind of goes sideways," Winter laughed, with Hawley adding, "So then there's fallout from that, some scrambling to do damage control!"

Castle season 8 returns on Monday, Feb. 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
