Hearts were broken all across Salem when the great Doctor Daniel Jonas perished on New Year's Eve due to a car accident, and now, those same hearts will feel fresh pain as they are all forced to say their final goodbyes during a memorial service for him on Days of Our Lives.

Eric Is Arrested For Causing The Accident

Daniel suffered severe brain trauma in the accident that was caused by Eric's (Greg Vaughan) drunk driving, and was beyond being saved. However, because he was an organ donor, his heart went to Brady (Eric Martsolf), who was also in the accident. Now that Brady has been given the time to heal, the time has come for the memorial service--and the pain of having to really say goodbye to Daniel once again will be overwhelming for some.

His fiancee, Nicole (Arianne Zucker), former love Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin), Son Parker (Christian Ganiere), daughter Melanie (Molly Burnett) and mother Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) are among the most heartbroken over the loss, though his other close friends, family members and colleagues are equally as torn up about having to say goodbye.

Among those who will also need extra consoling when the time to say goodbye arrives is JJ (Casey Moss) who will take losing Daniel extra hard because of the positive role he played in helping him turn his life around. But unfortunately, he and everyone else will need to deal with their loss and accept that Daniel is genuinely gone forever, no matter how heartbreaking saying goodbye genuinely will be.
