'General Hospital' Cast News: Michael Easton RETURNING To Soap For Feb. Sweeps, Is Silas Clay Making A Permanent Return? [VIDEO]
His character was killed off when he was (literally) stabbed in the back by his ex mother-in-law, but in a surprising twist, Michael Easton will be bringing Dr. Silas Clay BACK to General Hospital!
The announcement came in a staged surprise video on the show's Facebook page, where Easton appeared to run into Executive Producer Frank Valentini in a supermarket cereal aisle, and while the two seemed to be catching up, Valentini decides to ask Easton if he'd like to come back to the show.
"What's going on with you? You want to come back to General Hospital?" Valentini asks.
"You got something good?" Easton asks
"I've got something great," Valentini replies.
"I'll see you in a couple of weeks," Easton decides.
Here's a #GHFanFeb surprise! Michael Easton is coming back to #GH!

It is currently unclear if Easton's return will be a quick one for February Sweeps, or if he will be back on a more permanent basis. It is also unknown exactly how his character will be brought back-or even if he will be returning as Dr. Silas Clay at all. He originally brought his character of Detective John McBain from the canceled One Life to Live to the show, but after a short revival of the show was picked up by Prospect Park, he was changed to Dr. Clay. A third new character could bring another interesting new twist to the show.
Regardless of how long and just how his character will return, Easton appears grateful to be given the chance to come back, and credits his fans for his ability to return.
IT’S TRUE…It was your kindness and support that made this happen. I am humbled by your faith. With gratitude and love, now and always, Michael.
