Eric (Barrett Foa) and Nell (Renee Felice Smith) usually save Callen's (Chris O'Donnell) team from behind a computer screen, but every so often, Hetty (Linda Hunt) sends one of her merecats into the field. Eric usually draws the short straw thanks to Nell's training, but the tech operator will get to stretch his legs on Feb. 22.
"Callen, Sam (LL Cool J) and Anna (Bar Paly) are in Russia where they craft a plan to break her father and his CIA agent companion out of prison and in Los Angeles Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) take Eric into the field on an assignment," CBS teased. "Plus, Special Agent G. Callen finally learns what the G in his name stands for, on part two of a special two part episode."
Luckily, Eric is now trained with a weapon (although his fight skills could use a little work). We hope our innocent computer whiz never has to fire a gun, but at least he has a plan B if a mission ever goes south.
NCIS: LA will return to CBS on Feb. 8 with "Matryoshka."
