In the 12th episode of season three's The Walking Dead, Rick was reunited with his first season savior Morgan but the situation didn't turn out as many expected when he attempted to take Rick's life, as he seemed to have lost his mind more than the prison group's leader.

It was later learned that Morgan's son Duane had turned, due to being bitten by a walker that was his very own mother. With Rick being on the verge of a mental breakdown, Morgan's own personal woes may serve to assist in Rick's recovery, according to Wet Paint.

Morgan declined Rick's invite to join the group at the prison but many fans still feel as though it's a possibility that he'll come to his senses. British actor Lennie James, who plays the role of Morgan, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the show's interesting dynamic along with the prospect of joining Rick's faction in future episodes.

"I don't know. It's always a possibility, but one of the brilliant things about The Walking Dead is anybody can live, anybody can die, anybody can disappear and anybody can return," he said. "If the writers have the opportunity to make an event out of Morgan's return then that's probably a better way to use him than for him just to be there all the time.

"Either one of those are possibilities and any one of them could be exciting."

James also gave his take on what he feels the Morgan character would bring to the prison group, which surprisingly enough isn't an added strength but more of an obstacle.

"If Morgan arrived here [to the prison], he probably wouldn't be of any use for any length of time because I think he's a bit like Howling Mad Murdoch from The A-Team," James said, "Every now and then he has to go and be locked in a padded room on his own just to reboot."

The Walking Dead will return on Sunday, March 10 at 9 p.m. EST with its 13th episode of season three, which is titled Arrow on the Doorpost. The trailer can be viewed below.
